Instructions
Things You'll Need:
* Facial or body cleanser
* Clean towel
* Apple cider vinegar
* Witch hazel
* Large basin
* Cotton balls
1.
Wash your skin with a mild facial wash or body soap, depending on the area to be treated. Pat the skin dry with a clean towel prior to using any of the following vinegar acne treatments.
2.
Create a vinegar acne toner by combining one part apple cider vinegar, one part witch hazel, and one part water in a small bowl. Splash the solution onto the affected area, and allow it to remain for several seconds. Rinse the vinegar acne solution from your skin using warm water. Then, rinse again with cold water to close the pores. Repeat daily for best results.
3.
Fill a large bowl or basin with water, and add one cup of apple cider vinegar to make a vinegar acne rinse. Splash onto the face after washing and repeat two times daily. Do not rinse, but pat the skin dry with a towel. The vinegar balances the skin’s natural pH level, and acne should clear within a few days to weeks.
4.
Make a vinegar acne spot treatment by combining one tablespoon apple cider vinegar with one eight ounce glass of water. Apply to pimples, blackheads, or isolated outbreaks several times per day with a cotton ball. This solution will dry the acne, and reduce inflammation and infection.
#
Add several drops of essential oils to any of the above vinegar acne treatments. Tea tree and eucalyptus are recommended for their antibacterial properties.
#
Adding a few aspirin tablets to the vinegar acne toner will help it penetrate more deeply into the skin and dry out acne more quickly.
#
Do not get vinegar into the eyes, as it will cause significant burning.
