Adventures in acting, writing, and creating

The era of blogging. Okay, I got on board. I had a webpage on the former Asian Avenue.com but then that got changed. I didn't update that page much cause it was a hassle but when I did I had something to say. Now I'm thinking, who would want to read my blog?

So I was talking to my friends about my experiences while living in Japan and they said it was akin to a stand up routine. I told my friend Yuko about pursuing acting and she told me she (and others) would love to hear about my experiences. Since she's all the way in Japan she loves hearing about the things I get involved in in NYC.

So I was thinking about this blog. What should it be about? I can talk about my acting adventures (or my struggling attempts to put it more accurately). I can talk about my writing projects. I can talk about stuff I want to do in my standup routine (doing improv later this month).

I can talk about tech or whatever interests me. Basically, this can be a rant, a skin care guide, whatever catches my fancy. So here goes. My next blog I might reminisce about something in my past. But if it entertains, informs, or helps people out that would be great.

But jumping on the 'blog bandwagon' I want to keep in sight of what this blog is for. It's about my life. Does that sound selfish? Maybe a memoir so I can look back on my mistakes, my experiences and my past, to question, 'what the hell was I thinking?' or to go 'Man, I can't believe I did that!'

But blogs are kind of like history. Memories. Maybe I'm looking too deep into this so I'll stop for now and say, this is a work in progress, we'll see how it goes. When I take things too seriously, they don't go exactly as planned. But when I let things happen I have to learn to sit back and watch the course it takes.
